Well, somthing I’ve learnt with age is, More is Less. Whoever put this show together, was like a child in a Candy shop! If you remember back the to when the Tate opened, the Louise Bourgeois Piece was a solo piece on the mezzanne, so to make it bigger (out of fiberglass!!! don’t get me going on the materials), stick it with an outstanding Caulder, More Moore and Dominique’s Beds, it becomes a headfuck. Great Pieces, but way to much going on. A little video report here–
So I think I finally got this blog back up and running. Don’t talk to me about servers, uploading & the fatal expression ‘Do you have a backup?’.
Now while I’m in a rant mode, don’t also ask me, or anyone else standing outside the Browns Halloween party abut the Q, or getting in. I have to publicly apoligise to my good friend David Brabbins, who I couldn’t balg in. I have to say I did feel fairly inadequate about the whole affair. Thankfully, several glasses of champagne, restored the bravado, and I decided to have a word with Henry Holland~
Most of the pictures are on Dazed Digital, with a little story, By Leanne Rae Wierzba. Click any Image to see the story on Dazed.
So I’ve been exploring a few more ways to communicate with the world, using my N95, and have come accross QIK. It basically streams live video footage from your phone. Got to love that. It sort of works, but it really depends on the web connection, using a local wireless one is preferable.
My first Live broadcast is below ~
I’m not sure about my live broadcasting skills, but you get the vibe, if only the quality was a little better, but has amazing applications.
You’ve got to love old computer, singing for its supper.
Another live broadcast I did of the computer. Now I like showing these two together, it shows the difference between the two mediums.
My pictures of Frieze will be on Urban Junkies tomorrow, click image below, to see them.
So you have to bare with me on the Blog, still a bit broken, but still must carry on. My little short, now renamed by Dazed - The Tiedium of Backstage Photography, check it by clicking the image below, or a much better resolution one On Daily Motion, Here.
So an interesting evening, but the highlight had to be the arrivle of Paris Hilton. Now, not one to get all Celeb Maniac, but the buzz just rocked through the entire club, everyone was waiting, including a few of the very cool kids. Anyone for a Bath? You know who you are!
But, without forgetting it was also about Music, I went to the Diesel U Music Raido Station (in a little room out the back) and caught a little live set of Mark Ronson & Florence (Florence & The Machine), singing Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’. Not the best quality, but a great little story of why Pete Doherty couldn’t play and Mark had to step in.
So, many moons ago, when I used to shoot for Super Super Magazine, I decided to try my hand at doing fashion. So I persuaded my friend Alex Noble to style the shoot. The story was about a girl falling in love with a rope, having a rope baby & ultimatly, being killed by the rope. Tragic stuff!!!!
Anyway, it was a test, and thats about as far as it went, Until, I was contacted by Status Magazine, from Panama. So it is currently in the first issue, just drop by Panama way to pick up a copy. Ah, and if you’d like me to shoot your next Campaign, well, just drop me a line.
So apart from Nathen Barley & Myself, there is an other. Benedict Harris, working for a German Outfit, called FashionLab. Top Lad. Met him backstage at the Ashish Show. You should check out his reports from Milan & Paris, on FashionLab.
So far there has been a small mention of the man himself- Nathan Barley. But now, for those who haven’t seen it, the Man who started all this off!!!!
Genius! Well fucking Futile! Cos I’m a self facillitating media node!
Right just before I head to the Dazed party I’ll give you a little update. Fairly manic day, did my little bit for Jaguar, bit of a pap job, but cash in the bank. But as Jamie was there, had a good chat to Alfie, about a film my mate is trynig to get sorted. Then streight of to the Alice Temperly show. To get first Looks was a bit tricky, but the lovley lady let me. I’m telling you, trying to stay and get these shots is a lot harder than I thought, even working for the BFC.
Then via Julian, where i couldn’t get first looks, to Paul Smith. Where we shot Large format, below is the lovley George posing for a polaroid. I’ll be honest, not a job for the faint hearted. But the pics should be rocking, well I would say that wouldn’t I!!!
So doing Backstage for the BFC, and making a little couple of shorts for Dazed Digital. Interesting so far, but got a biggy today. Julian Macdonald & Paul Smith.
In this Seminal work of Writer/Director, Morgan O’Donovan, has produced a short of epic proportion. Taking the ordinary, and making it simple, but homogenizing the basic elements of life. The Rhetoric bypasses the usual semantic rules, and combines the Here, with the Then. The only short to have ever analyzed the process of Oxidation, to create a visceral image of nothing. Many commentators have noted on the narrative- ‘if only Proust had got out of bed’.
With many years of experience in analyzing the great east European film makers, Morgan, has managed to make Polanski look like water, and Tarkovsky look like stone. BAFTAs in the offering, an Oscar is now but purely academic.

‘No one have ever looked at the point of view of paint, as well, as in this tragic short’ The Guardian.
